"The Dockworker"

The statue now stands in the garden outside Norra Latin. The Dock Worker statue was originally purchased and unveiled in the light hall in Stockholm's old Folket Hus in 1907. It is a symbol of workers, specifically dock workers. The worker is wearing a hood as a neck protection which was to protect the neck from coal dust and chafing from burlap sacks. The statue, which is made by the Belgian artist Constantin Meunier (1831-1905), is available in 12 variants in 5 continents. //https://stockholmskallan.stockholm.se/post/35066
